Golf Association!

So the last many years I have played softball every spring, summer, and fall. After that many years playing with women, I feel I got off pretty good without too much drama (and then again that just may be me remembering all the good times instead of the bad). I played on many teams, I supported many friends, and I had some really great times. But like with anything, there came a time to graduate. After last year, having the most drama of many years combined attached to a team that I ended up not wanting to call mine, I decided that there are just some people that don't know how to "grow up" and it became time for me to move on.

Fast forward to April 13th 2009, I joined a women's golf association with some really great ladies. So far we have played 4 weeks and I have reduced my score 8 strokes in those 4 rounds.

My golf clubs don't talk back when I banish them to the bag because they didn't hit straight enough or scoop the ball right.

I golf with the same 3 ladies each week (see photos) Coleen, Tracy, and Patti. We enjoy each others company, there is NEVER drama on the course, and we always get our frustrations of the week out with our long drives, amazing putts, and liquid out the nose laughter!

I am soooo happy that I have graduated on to something that I love as much, actually maybe more then I loved softball.

Step #4 prepare deck and yard for hot tub and other yard art...

NEW Shed pad poured, shed rebuilt, deck finished, shed stained with weather resistent stain and is now prepared for siding in the future.
Deck is now ready for hot tub so we have hired an electrician to come and put the appropriate electrical panel/plugs for the hot tub. Then hot tub will be delivered! YEAH.
I have to re-stain the hand rail down my back steps and maybe re-affix the 2x4's in a more solid and secure way until I can purchase some more trex to upgrade the railing.
Didn't I say next time I mention a new project warn me against it...yeah, try to tell that to Patrice. My honey do list is going to get bigger and bigger I think as she moves in with me. Next project, till the 8'x10' garden in my back yard and get the garden planted in the next two weeks. Cut a 2' chunk of sod out of the perimeter of the yard so we can plant trees and shrubbery (always said in an English accent)to shield the yard from the neighbors.
And all this in preparation for Labor Day weekend when my parents are coming to help me finish my basement so we can move Patrice and Tristan to my house come October. I guess having our 3 year anniversary as a moving party wont be so bad! :)

WISH ME LUCK! :) I will update this blog with completed deck and shed photos and then will update with hot tub photos in the next little while.

My friend Becky got in a pretty bad accident with a bucking bronco the other day. I wanted to wish her well and tell her I love her!

Step #3 - Work Ass off moving shed

After we tore down the shed, we had to pick a less perfect spot in the yard to conform to the city codes...we picked a spot that would block that drunk ass busy body neighbor.
Deck is almost done...once new pad is set, we will rebuild shed and finish deck...then we will put planter boxes on the ugly eye sore of a concrete pad in the side yard until said city code ordinance people make us jack hammer it out...maybe that wont happen.

Should have whole project done today!
