TGIF

I am so excited...it's finally here! Tonight is Suzanne... If you haven't seen her live...oh my, plan to pee your pants. She makes my cheeks stiff from laughter and my gut sore from holding the pee in. Ha Ha HA. We are going with our friends Lis and Joc...it's been planned for months and I can hardly wait! Meeting up for dinner and an evening of giggles with friends is always an event to look forward to.
The New Year has brought us into a rocky start...Patrice's mom is full of expectations, and although it's frustrating to me to have Patrice at her beck and call it's also something that I am learning to get used to because I think it'll be this way from here on out.
We are waiting anxiously for the contractor to have all the house plans finalized this month to get the money people on the band-wagon so we can get this project started. We have the mock up of our kitchen done with the layout planned and all. The only differences that we have made in the kitchen are a solid surface counter top so the sink is the same as the countertop surface and then adding a utility cupboard opposite of the refridge.
We are finally getting together this weekend with Mer, Sum, and Cam after not seeing them since before Christmas. It seems like forever since we have spent time with them. We are planning a game night and dinner for saturday afternoon. Really looking forward to that!
Patrice and I got money from her mom for Christmas this year so after the last big snow storm we decided it was about "that time" and went out and got a snow plow put on the front of her Artic Cat 4wheeler. It'll take some time getting used to how low to place the blade to get the snow scrapped off the driveway, but HALLLEEEELLLUUUUIIIIAAAAHHHH...no more snow shoveling for this old out of shape dog! :) WOO HOO.
New Years Eve we went to my really great friend Wendy's house to celebrate with some great old friends. Tristan had gone to the ex's for the night so we were able to let a little loose, have a few drinks, and play a little poker. The Wii came out, and there was laughing, and gambling, and drinking, and eating, and kissing, and more gambling. We ended up playing a game called Guts. It's a two card game where the best hand you can have is a pair of aces. You anty $1 and then if you want to stay in with your hand after "1-2-3-Guts" is called you hold your cards...if you want out, you drop. IF you hold, and lose, you have to match the pot for the next round. You can see that the pot can grow larger and larger depending on how many people are playing. I think at one point I ended up winning a pot that had like $44 in it. CRAZY. But a ton of fun. Makes me really excited for our Vegas trip in February with a few people from this group! :)
Yep, you heard me...VEGAS BABY! We are going in Feb...I got screamin deals for a Celebrity Spa Suite at the MGM for $100/night and flights on Jet Blue for $60/roundtrip. We can hardly wait for our trip. It'll be fun to get away for the weekend, maybe get out of the snow and cross your fingers see the sun for a couple of days. Maybe I will even get daring enough to sit down in the Poker room for some Texas Hold'em. :)
I will attach photos soon from Christmas, New Years, and this weekend. TTFN
